About theLegato.com

theLegato.com  the aim of the company is to be an exclusive, all-inclusive and effective environment for trading and acquiring sought after automobiles. This prestigious online auction community caters to the needs of the discriminating automotive enthusiast. The creator’s vision is to create an environment which allows for a smooth transition between owners of highly sought-after automobiles and a place for true enthusiasts to meet and discuss their unique passions.

theLegato.com was created by the founder of  a world-renowned restoration company. The site  is designed for similarly-minded enthusiasts, and bases its foundation on the premise that serious buyers and sellers should not have to wade through pages of items that do not apply in their search for that special vehicle. Other auction sites are bogged down with t-shirts, coffee mugs and cufflinks. At theLegato.com you will only find vehicles, and specifically, only vehicles that meet our classification of collectable, exotic, sports, classic, and select luxury. The software , construction , and the constant hands on monitoring ensures, for example, that you can list a 1930's Delage, but not a1980's Daewoo. Consideration is derived from the year, make, and model, as well as desirability and rarity. While we have made every effort in our research to leave no stone unturned. If you feel that we have missed a particular make or model that might be appropriate for our site, please contact us at info@thelegato.com with the relevant details for consideration.

theLegato.com also includes an interactive member forum open to all, where community members from around the world can gather to post thoughts on classic cars, vintage racing, rare parts and repairs, as well as exchange tales of exhilaration at the louder end of the tachometer’s sweep. Our ultimate goals are to develop the auction site to its fullest potential to provide as many purchase opportunities as possible in one location, create a growing online community of like-minded enthusiasts, and to continue to expand the services and features of thelegato.com to create, in essence, an online country club for automotive enthusiasts.

theLegato.com wishes to provide the most effective and all-inclusive environment for global exchange of the world’s most prized collectable, exotic, sports, classic, and select luxury automobiles. At theLegato.com, one flat fee is all you’ll pay for a complete auction. No nickel and dime options, no hidden back-end costs, and most importantly, no buyer or seller premiums! We offer the choice of 7 or 10 day auction cycles as well as an easy re-listing option. As an additional convenience to our clients, an email notification is sent to the seller at the end of each auction cycle. If a vehicle does not sell in a first auction cycle, a second auction cycle is available for relisting at a 50% reduction in the fee, and the third consecutive auction cycle would be free of charge.

theLegato.com is specifically targeted to bring serious owners, collectors, and dealers together. Our goal is to reach a demographic that will bring auction traffic consisting of exceptional automobiles through focused marketing and cooperation with the worlds most prestigious events.
